Adam originally joined Battery in 2005 and rejoined in 2007 as a Senior Associate focusing on investments in software, digital media and emerging technologies. He is currently involved with Battery portfolio companies Cortera, MoreMagic and The NewsMarket. Prior to Battery, Adam was Director of Corporate Development for The Boston Celtics, where he led strategic initiatives for the team. He also worked at Lycos (sold to Telefonica for $12B), where he was responsible for M&A, private equity and joint venture investment within North America, Europe and Asia. Earlier in his career, Adam worked in Business Development at Gamesville.com (sold to Lycos for $220M) and at Tripod.com, which was an early innovator in the online community space (sold to Lycos for $58M).
Adam earned a BA in Psychology and Spanish from Franklin and Marshall College and an MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth. He is actively involved with Grass Roots Soccer, a non-profit leading the effort to educate youth in Africa about HIV/AIDS.
